Helping Young People Recognize What Is Possible
Metro Pathfinders Association (MPA) is a founder-led youth development organization dedicated to helping young people discover their strengths, build confidence, develop practical skills, and prepare for future opportunities.
MPA provides structured, school-centered programming that combines guided discussions, real-life examples, hands-on activities, personal reflection, and goal-setting. We meet students where they are, encourage them to recognize their potential, and help them understand how today’s choices can shape tomorrow’s opportunities.
Our Mission
The mission of Metro Pathfinders Association is to help young people discover their strengths, develop confidence, strengthen leadership, build practical life skills, and create pathways toward productive futures through structured programming and community connection.
Our Vision
We envision communities where every young person has access to the guidance, skills, encouragement, and opportunities needed to recognize their potential and move confidently toward their future.
Why MPA Exists
Many young people have talent and ambition but lack consistent access to practical guidance, career exposure, and adults who can help connect their present choices with future possibilities.
MPA was created to help close that gap. Our program gives students a supportive environment where they can learn about themselves, practice important skills, explore different careers and industries, and begin developing meaningful goals.
Our Founder
Joshua D. Robinson founded Metro Pathfinders Association to provide young people with the guidance, practical knowledge, encouragement, and exposure they need to see a wider range of possibilities for their lives.
As MPA’s founder and lead program facilitator, Joshua personally delivers the organization’s initial 10-week program. He works directly with students and school staff, leads weekly lessons and activities, encourages student participation, monitors progress, gathers feedback, and communicates program outcomes to participating schools.
This founder-led approach allows MPA to maintain consistency, build strong relationships, and continuously improve the program based on student and educator experiences.
Our Approach
MPA’s developmental pathway is simple:
Discover Yourself → Develop Your Skills → Lead Responsibly → Create Your Path
Students explore personal strengths, confidence, communication, emotional awareness, relationships, leadership, healthy living, community awareness, financial literacy, careers, entrepreneurship, and future planning.
By the end of the program, students create a personalized Pathfinder Plan identifying their strengths, goals, opportunities, and next steps.
Looking Ahead
MPA’s long-term vision includes bridging the gap between young people and experienced professionals. As the organization grows, qualified professionals, entrepreneurs, tradespeople, retirees, and community leaders may have structured opportunities to share their knowledge and experiences with students.
Future expansion will be developed carefully and will include appropriate screening, training, supervision, school approval, and youth-safety procedures.
Our Commitment
MPA is committed to meeting students where they are, recognizing their potential, developing their strengths, and helping them create practical pathways forward.
Discover Potential. Develop Confidence. Sharpen Leadership. Create Pathways.
